Some shoots really catch people’s attention. When I should a few people these pictures, including the chef himself, there was a definite look of joy on their faces and an expression of “ooh ah”. Just for a little fun, I’ve accompanied these yummy pics with some fun quotes on tea and cake…..bon appetite!
“All sorrows in life stem from the lack of cake. If you had your own cake, you wouldn’t bother trying to take away the other person’s cake! And, if the cake you had were beautiful enough, you wouldn’t bother trying to melt the icing on that other person’s cake! And if you always had a very beautiful cake that was always beautiful enough, then you would have a smile on your face all the time and wouldn’t even care if other people were enjoying their own cakes! Because you’d be enjoying yours, too! Therefore, I hereby decree that all sorrows can be fixed by many beautiful cakes! Bake a cake!” ― C. JoyBell C.
“For every trouble under the sun
There is Cheesecake or there is none
Be there one, try to find it
Be there none… go out and buy it!” Anon.
“You Can’t buy happiness, but you can buy cupcakes, and that’s kind of the same thing.” Anon.
“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” Henry James.
“Ice-cream is exquisite. What a pity it isn’t illegal.” Voltaire.
“My policy on cake is pro having it and pro eating it.” Boris Johnson.
“In Britain, a cup of tea is the answer to every problem.
Fallen off your bicycle? Nice cup of tea.
Your house has been destroyed by a meteorite? Nice cup of tea and a biscuit.
Your entire family has been eaten by a Tyrannosaurus Rex that has travelled through a space/time portal? Nice cup of tea and a piece of cake. Possibly a savoury option would be welcome here too, for example a Scotch egg or a sausage roll.” David Walliams.
We can certainly experience jeux de vie savouring such delectable treats brings! I certainly enjoyed this shoot and of course, like any good photographer, I had to sample some of the talented chef’s at The Milestone Hotel’s cakes. I can therefore truly recommend a visit yourself.
